Suggestion re: hedgehogs

Postby Joe » Mon Sep 20, 2010 10:12 am

If a unit is defending in a hedgehog, and the unit is down to 1 supply can, that its ability to hedgehog is removed and it is now only entrenched.

This is because the unit would have trouble supplying its spread out sub units.

And it removes the gamey feature where it is near impossible to wipe out a hedgehoged unit even if it is out of supply.

Something like this would be good.

Perhaps even a % chance of loosing hedgehog in the editor could help.

Hedgehogs can be a serious problem, especially if there are mostly mediocre artillery units and no air strikes for the attacker in the scenario, which makes it basically impossible to attack any hedgehogged stack.

Pre-supply attrition, hedgehogs were even more unbalanced, so something has improved since release.
