Couple AI Programming Questions

Postby StarMan99 » Sat Aug 09, 2008 7:17 am

What is the bare minimum things that need to be done in order to run the AI, for example, I'm interested in putting AI to Stalingrad scenario.

From there, I can experiment and tweak.

Thanks

We are working at the moment on a tutorial on editing the AI and it should be available shortly.

It is a difficult area and one that we are addressing and hope that shortly more people will accept the challenge of doing it to their scenarios.

Thanks Roger, I'm definitely looking forward to that.

I've spent some time studying the different AI editing screens, and unless there is a lot of stuff that's not visible, it looks perfectly do-able.

I got the AI running! Yes!

It took me all day, but I found out that to run the AI, you need to give the main AI title screen a title name, and then it lets you `save the operations'. Now I can create regions of operation, key hexes and opportunity cards.

Soon, grognards the world over will be testing their skill against my supreme AI programming power! Muhwahaha!

And, more gamers will be buying Battlefront, hopefully. :)

I am so freaking happy I got this running, but there is not a beer in the house to celebrate with. There will be tomorrow, though!
