Did Battlefront become the forgotten child?

Postby pvthudson01 » Wed Jun 23, 2010 9:45 am

This thread over at the Matrix Boards kinda bummed me out. I was thinking of getting Battlefront but it seems that the support will not be in it for the future

Are there any plans to follow the game up with more add ons at this scale?

Don't let the thread bum you out.

1km/hex is my preferred scale and the available scenarios are pretty darn good (4 stock and 3 user created scenarios). Plenty to like in the game.

It is an excellent game with some great scenarios.

"Gazala" is one of the great wargaming scenarios.

None of the scenarios can be played in the other games.

I agree, Battlefront was worth the money for me. I've probably spent as much time playing PBEM Battlefront as any of the other games. I've played Market Garden several times (great well balanced scenario), Crusader (tilted toward Germans), Stalingrad (seems tilted to Germans but too early to be sure in my game playing Russia). The Gazala scenario looks great as does the Prokhorovka scenario (Kursk south) if I could ever find 3 other players game to do it multiplayer.
