Looking at my luck in the last draw, thinking I will be playing Rob ... chuckles. Am looking forward to it.

Gosh! I'd bow out during the first round if that was the case. Brackets will be drawn as per normal Run5 Randomnessnessness..

I would like 64 people in this one! So if you havent registered yet and you are considering it - please step up! Tell your friends about it :)

Having 64 would make for a straight knock out tournament and make it very very easier for me.. :)

I'm considering it, but still playing in two tournaments leaves me with little time to play more PBEM... :(

I see tourneys as the ultimate way of pbem :) , random opponent, random side and in this case unknown battlefield. Can it be better?

Getting to 64 seems like a stretch although not impossible. We could go with 48 and do a straight knockout format. The finals would then be a three player round robin that could be decided on win-loss with total points as a tie breaker. Just a thought.

Maybe it's just a pipe dream, but after following the Robjess-Twinkle AAR, I think it would be great if something similiar were done on the Championship games of all the tournaments. It would be very enlightening to see the stratgey used to win the final game.

Caveat: I realize AAR's are a ton of work, but it would keep involved all the players who were knocked out months earlier. :)

Perhaps a true AAR ("after-action") where the particpants can just dump screen shots and text to a word document and post it later. I enjoyed the AAR between Robjess and Twinkle, but there was much hidden from the watcher because it was posted while the game was ongoing.

One can easily have a "true" AAR that is on-going complete with screen-dumps and commentary, the two players just have to promise to not look at the thread! To prevent accidental "looks", they could write their reports and send images to a third party who actually does the posting.

Lots of options for AARs... one is to have a built in delay (say 3-5 turns), another would be much like the AtD AAR where relevant screen shots are presented to tell the story.

I am open to doing a full AAR for the TAO3 tourney.
