Ugh, I came up with a scheme to use 21 players, but it's probably not good for this scenario since it's points-based, and I was thinking that the in-game points would be the basis. However, since this scenario really, really awards the good attackers since almost all the points come from unit kills, it was loading the deck in my favor. Plus I don't know how many points to award for a retirement or crashed computer.

So we just hold out a random bye and have 10 games straight-up, leaving us with 11 players in the next round. Hold out one in a bye--cannot be the same player as the first time!--then we'll have 6. Hmmm, this isn't working out too good...

Um, I'd like to get started, but we may have to wait. Or I could post my other scheme...

A quick suggestion for a 21 player tournie:

Make seven groups of three players in each of it.

In every group, every player battles against the other two. The winner of each group advances to round two along with the best second place player of the seven groups, so that would make eight players for round two of the tournament.

With this modus, I´d suggest scoring should be based on ladder points, so two overwhelming wins should give 18 points, a draw and a decisive win 13 points and so on...

Would it be considered bad form for me to join this tourney? I`m an absolute diasaster area still, so drawing me would be like getting a bye into the next round ;)

How childish am I - signing up just to get the "Tour of Duty" medal for this tourney ;)

Seeing as it's such a small scenario AND I've just been blasted out of the KP Last Stand tourney, count me in too.

P.S. *AND* because there are soo many newbies, so I might even have a shot at going through to round two !! ;)

May be we could wait until 24 players which make for three 8-players pools. The winner of each pool will affront the other two. The best one will be the one with 2 victories. If all of them get one victory, the level of these victories will settle them. In case of draw, one more round will be played.

Oh! And please consider I'm no more on reserve :)

Is this selective amnesia or selective discrimination at work here ?

Hmmmmmmmmmmm!
