Sure hope I don't lose as Germans

... and I was a little bit sad about giving my German opponent 2 VP's :)

I played around with the Russian AT units last night in Whiking Whiteout. I have the game disc and updates thru True update. I did not download the scenario directly since I know I have never downloaded any of the individual scenarios. The Russian AT units are one step. Right clicking on the unit shows +1 anti tank gun, however when engaged in combat the unit is giving +2 anti shock. I tested this on two different clear terrain hexes paired with a Russian Paratroop unit which had no anti shock capability. When I moved the Anti Tank unit off the hex the CRT dropped from two anti tank symbols to 0. God knows the Russians need all the help they can get, the only real bug here is that right clicking on the unit shows only a +1 anti tank capability.

Soviet AT unit

Both of those AT units are in KP and WW. They are -2 antishock, however, the ones in WW are listed as -2 antishock variable which reflects their previous multistep existance. The ones in KP show the -2 antishock.

Sorry Carl, but I didn't really understand your last post  Is there a typo in there?

In WW right click on the AT unit (one step) shows a +1 anti shock, but in reality it is +2 when attacked.

There does seem to be great variety in the Anti-tank values in WW. But I want to know why in some scenarios there are one step Anti-tank units that have timed replacements? The replacement would never get used. Could this be a left over from multi-step AT units?

1/28 and 1/28 AT Units

Postby Carl Myers » Fri Apr 23, 2004 10:48 am

Went into the editor, looked at both the WW and KP scenarios. In the WW scenario, the units are listed as -2 antishock variable in the OOB. The variable refers to the time that they were 3 step units and the shock value varied upon steps. The unit would list on the unit popup a -1 antishock value at one step. When the unit was changed to one step, the word variable was not removed from the antishock value of 2. Therefore in WW, these units would show in a unit popup an antishock value of one when it really has a value of two.
In the KP scenario, these units show up as -2 antishock in unit popups since they are simply listed in the OOB as -2 antishock. If the WW OOB had these units changed to -2 antishock instead of -2 antishock variable, these units would show up as -2 antishock on unit popups.

more results have been reported... see ladder for details.

StormCrow (axis) beats Aberdeen (allied) (another german victory) so he and Pawlock advance from group number 5.

Any news on the remaining qualification battles?

Results from group #8, Manny have beaten both his opponents and will now take on Pawlock... Manny (allied) vs. Pawlock (axis), you know how to find each other.

The runner-up in group #8 (who will play vs. Stromcrow in round 1) is to be decided between Jasonbirder and Flashman.

Tourney ladder updated...
