I suppose this is adressed to me. :)

Not scared at all, but I'm already playing the SF Short Campaign and four other tournaments and have no time to invest in this one. And while I'm unfamiliar with the full campaign proper, I sufficiently played (*) the short campaign to have a correct knowledge of the whole battle.

(*) Meaning between 5 to 13 turns before my different opponents resign.

I havent looked at this game since BiN came out. Yesterday, I had a practice run thru. Man do i miss all the BiI play aids and polish. Simply checking defense values of stacks is a labour. Undoing moves is a pain. Having said that, the game still has a certain magic - would be so nice to see it upgraded, so nice.....
History is an argument without end
Projects - Iskra (available to download), Stalingrad Pocket (ver101 finished and available to download), Guadalcanal (map done), Guadalajara (playtesting - volounteers?), Napoleonic Borodino (volounteers?)

I guess I am going to just have to tough it out for 28 turns just to make you eat crow.

36 turns if there's still units from both sides on the map.

Well, I've played this game twice, both against sorceror, and both lasting not very many turns at all  , so I'm looking forward to giving it another bash if we can get the last few slots filled.

Whats all this about building me up to be a potential tournament winner. :o Yes, its my favourite scenario, I've played it quite a few times at PBEM, having won 16/20 times, but there are some very experienced campaigners in this tourney.

Plus I'm keeping an eye out for a particular general who's not entered..yet

Ah Fantassin you need to look more closely.

Carl, Jpalacios35 and Kingpin all have good knowledge of this scenario and are very experienced.

In addition Brubaker is an experienced campaigner.

And then there is the other general...who hasn't put in an appearance yet..

Ahh, Sorcerer, I know I'm a great player  but really there's no need to hype me up so much. Besides I don't even own KP so can't enter the tourney.

Or have I got completely the wrong end of the stick? :D :D :D

you were not the general who is refered to in my post..

 ..just incase I mean no disrespect to the other guys in the tournament.

The names I mentioned, except for Brubaker, have all been previous opponents in this scenario. Of course there could be some dark horses out there.. :)

Ah... yes, you must be speaking of me Sorcerer! I've been lightly following this thread just to see who's joining and figuring out who the favorites are. I would find nothing more exciting than a Sorcerer v.s. Fantassin final with a nice juicy AAR!

I believe that I've probably played the KP Campaign scenario more than anyone else, so, I know that you guys will be playing this one into 2007!

Although I am flattered that Sorcerer is "gunning" for me, I have to pass as I just don't have the time like I used to... sorry Sorcerer!

Good luck to all... I'll be following this thread closely to see when Fantassin challenges Sorcerer to a duel!

Sorry to dissapoint you Steve..you were not the general I was thinking of as I already knew you wouldn't commit to this tournament for reasons of its time consumption.

Although if you would change your mind as you'd be a great addition to the tournament field with your vast experience and knowledge of this scenario.

Regardless of this tournament however, I would really like a re-match when you get some time. Your suggestion of a duel with Fantassin is also rather temping..

So the mystery general remains... :!:

Well, it's certainly a long old game, but I had heard that quite a few games tend to end somewhat prematurely when one side realises they've had it? Is that a fair comment?
