KP Big Campaign Russian wanted

Postby DiRaC » Tue Nov 29, 2005 10:36 am

I prefer using German on this map
i don't have record on ladder yet, but i'd like it as a ladder game.
I can play a turn in 1-2 days normally. 3 days max. I won't give up easily, and i hope this would be a long game that we can both enjoy.
Im also willing to play U2 front if you like smaller game.

please send to iamzuck@hotmail.com
thank you in advance!
long live Korsun Pocket!

Maybe someday! I've been spending time with a couple of other games these days... Lock & Load: Band of Heroes, Russia Besieged and Streets of Stalingrad. Too many games, too many days I have to go to work!

I don't know Russia Besieged, or Streets of Stalingrad - are they strategy games or FPS/RTS?

Thanks

They are both board games that you can play via Vassal. Streets of Stalingrad is BN and lower units battling for Stalingrad and the surrounding areas (not large operational leve). Russia Besieged is a strategic level eastern front game, units are corps level. It's a modern day remake of the classis Avalon Hill board game Russian Campaign.

Thanks for this, I may look into it, although I thought TRC was remade by L2 (latest reincarnation being TRC4 I think)? I've got the original, and my 11yr old is looking interested in tryin a board game instead of a pc game, so may get a chance to play this for the first time in years. :)

Yes, L2 did do a remake of TRC. Last year they then released Russia Besieged which is the next step up from TRC. Interesting rules have been added for airbases and air-support, the Leningrad ice road, the importance of oil, leaders, etc. The rules are a smooth read if you know TRC reasonably well as many of the rules are the same. You just have to pay extra special attention to the new stuff they've implemented. Also, I made a mistake when I said RB & SoS were playable via Vassal. They are not, it's Aide-De-Camp that SoS is playable by and RB will be within the next week or two.
