I had to surrender my game to JSS.

I only managed to capture to VP spots. But in the 10th turn a difference of 43 VP points it's difficult to recover in this scenario.

Congrats to the winner!

I also only got two VP hexes against sorceror, although we batted on for the full 16 turns, as the turnaround was pretty quick. Still didn't help me any though!

Hmm, two axis winners.

Now Sorcerer will enjoy the allied side.

I have heard some grumblings that some people think that this scenario is bias to the Axis. Thats not true. This is probably the most played/tested scenario that I have done. I have played it many many times v Fairfax - and I would say that we are pretty equal players - and we both managed to beat each other at both sides.. most games really went down to the wire and were only decided in the last few turns.

I have also played Roger at this scenario as both sides and he thrashed me on each occassion.

So either side can win. Read the readme file thats with the game.. its a very different DBWWII scenario in that often the allies (and axis) may be forced to attack at what they consider to be low odds. And thats true. Historically the Allies did attack when they really shouldnt have been attacking. The terrain is againt them. And often you will need to trade your attack capability to be able to advance via extended mode. Ie: charging over trenches etc.

The thing with this scenario is that it has been designed (like many WWI battles) where the objectives are more valuable then the men. So the Allies will need to sacrifice men in an effort to gain objectives.

Overall - out of all of the scenarios I have made, I think this one depicts the actual battle then any of the other ones I have done.

But - either side can win. And if whilst playing this game you are getting tense and frustrated and you think nothing is going right for you.. then you really are getting a taste of what it was like. And that is/was the intention.

I think that a competent player can get the job done playing as allied.

Although I couldn't reach a lot of VP (only two), at least I managed to destroy 4 axis regiments playing against JSS in the tourney. But when everything looked fine, JSS did a surprise movement and destroyed one of my regiments...

After that I realized that I had nothing to do. :(

As the Allies Roger managed to cut my Axis supply off completely and then kill pretty much mop all of my units up.. he also got most of the major objectives.
