I'm on the road, but if I remember correctly, it's more like 5 objectives 8)

RalphH Reports that he has beaten Pterrok in his game - he states:

"The final score was the Allies by the meager margin of 13 points. A real nail biter that could have went either way."

Now thats what we like to see in a Tournament!

Am I correct in assuming that we upgrade to 1.12 for our next game since it is the latest patch for KP?

Yes as you finish your Round you should upgrade to the latest KP patch prior to commencing your next game.

Um, Rob, maybe take a poll on the actual round 2 players left to see if they have any other games going--like Steve Ford--that would hold them back from upgrading to the patch which would prevent them from playing THOSE games?

POLL:
In fact, all players who have ANY other KP ladder games going which would prevent upgrading to the 1.12 patch, sing out now!!!

My impression of the scenario, by the way, is that it's a lot like checkers--with some dice rolls thrown in to keep you guessing--and I HATE checkers!

Mistakes were made on both sides...I SHOULD shine at this game since if I try and put some time into it I could plan more than one turn ahead which is what is needed what with the 'sticky' conditions when trying to move anywhere--if I were moving on to the next round I would do better since I would take some notes...Of course, then I wouldn't be able to get 8 (or something like that) turns done like we did on Sunday--this one IS suitable to be played real-time by those who stay connected to the internet continually.

Players should hold off patching until they are free in both Tournaments. If they think they can squeeze another round of Gallipoli in between any other KP Tournament they have going then thats fine they can play the next round unpatched.

There is no significant improvement in applying the patch so there is no real rush.

Having said that if they want to wait before commencing Round 2 until they finish they other KP Tournament game then thats fine too.

PLayers just need to apply some common sense.

Matrix has two patch sites...

Use this link to the one with v1.12... select links thru operational games to KP.... then select downloads

JSS advances to round three, with a very narrow victory of 2VP.

Not really. It would have been an Allied victory but for some poor dice rolls on turns 14 and 15. And its also my 7th straight PBEM loss!

It was high drama (to say the least)!

On turn 16, got two sixes while attacking a two step bde occupying The Sphinx (3d time a bde from the Aus XX died defending The Sphinx!). + 8 Points...

Lost the Anderson Knoll on turn 16 forcing a one step isolated regiment into the hex with another isolated one step regiment... last attack on the pair of isolated regiments brought A1-DR!!! ...and the two escaped to save their 16 VPs.

Great game with the Sorcerer!
