AGSud manouevres complete mein herr - two weeks of consolidation following the shock loss of the TDs and some of our Balkan allies during our opening attacks. However, AGS proceeds on schedule:

i) The cities of Odessa and Zhitomir taken, and other minor urban centres over-run. All of the untermenschen to our front and within our lines are removed.

ii) Heavy concentrations of troops are observed around Kiev, surely a tempting target for AGSud working with AGMitte to pinch off in the coming weeks if they do not withdraw.

iii) Along the Dneiper toward the Black sea, further troop concentrations are noted, possibly impeding advances into the Crimea.

The infantry replacements offered have not been taken, but if there is an armoured replacement available that would be most welcome to keep LAH up to full complement (they can be found currently pacifying Zhitomir).

Awaiting further advice on our developing strategy as the situation unfolds, but otherwise pushing forward to Kiev and Dnepropetrovsk as per your orders.

How cruel! Untermenschen/Untermensch means :

a Nazi expression for a class of people deemed 'sub-humans' or lesser than or under a man.

Untermensch (German for subhuman) is a term from Nazi racial ideology. Derived from 19th century racial theory, Nazi ideology held that the Germanic peoples were the master race (Herrenvolk), and that all other peoples represented lesser races of varying degrees. Groups regarded as Untermenschen included Jews, Gypsies, Slavic peoples, Altaic peoples and Africans

Well, I just pinched it from the Hell's Gate book (and I think it was in Stalingrad) as a term the Germans used for the Russkis. If people find it offensive drop me a PM I'll remove it.

So that means your calling General Brubaker an untermensch/sub human ;)

It's ok, there's nothing I have against you saying it.

OKH: Axis turn 2

Postby Joel137 » Wed Apr 12, 2006 2:22 pm

I just forwarded our turn to the honorable opponents.

AGN: I couldn't allocate replacements to the motorized unit as it was in the yellow. For turn three I will assign replacement points for the Armee Gruppen Fuehrern to assign themselves.

I think instead mein herr you should have sent it to the rabble of east front street fighters we have been dealing with.

As a point of (self) interest, were you able to allocate any of the newly arrived panzers to LAH?

I had requested reserves and fresh panzers be sent to LAH to keep it up to full complement, but I understand if OKH felt these were better allocated to our main two fronts.

Achhh,

by reserves, you actually mean replacements, not LAH did not get any;

and OKH, has egg on its face, I think I'll skip the visit with the Leader today.

That one was my mistake. #$@!@$***$#@

I should've read your dispatch more closely; all that mental energy sorting out whose command is taking what units on the AGS AGM boundary was just too nerve wracking, I think I'll take the cure at Bad . . .. :)

You will definitely get replacements next turn. I'm going to assign them at the beginning of the turn and let the commanders actually use them, like the combat bonus assets.

Axis Turn 3 orders

Postby Joel137 » Thu Apr 20, 2006 1:35 pm

Alle Armee Gruppen:

Pay attention to front boundaries, any units inside your boundaries are assigned to you with the exception of OKH reserves, the reinforcement coming in the south next turn are part of AGS.

All commanders allocate their replacements.

AGN:

proceed as planned your objectives for turns 3 & 4 are Talinn, Narva, Velikye Luki and Pskov.

Hopefully you will be threatening the approaches to Leningrand on T5 and be close to taking Novgorod.

Ideally we will march through Leningrad at the end of T6

Assets: 1L 2 Inf repl and 1 arm repl

AGM:

Your T 3&4 objectives are Vitebsk, Orsha, Smolensk, Mogilev.

Gomel if you can get it by coup de main, be in a position to threaten Vyazma and Bryansk

Assets: 1L 1B and 3 inf repl and 1 arm repl

AGS:

Your T3&4 objectives are Kiev, Cherkasy and Kherson and try to look like you will be threatening Crimea in the next 2 turns after, but remember the objectives from prior postsl.

Assets: 1L, 2 Inf repl and 1 Arm repl
