Fantassin advances as he chalks up two overwhelming victorys

Anybody surprised :D

He is going to post some interesting shots I think. We played to the bitter end despite the fact that the result was not in doubt by turn 10. It was an interesting experience to play the whole thing.

Many thanks to Joel137 for playing these games to the end and allowing me for once to see my strategies fully developped.

As Allied, the win was overwhelming but classic. Catania fell on turn 13 and Palermo on turn 16, but Messina stayed in Axis end. 61 Axis units (including the whole HG div) were destroyed to 6 Allied (of which 4 killed during the last turn for 192 VP). Final score was 769 VP, barely over the 750 overwhelming limit.

As Axis, the win could be said ultra-overwhelming with a score of 2752 VP. The final screenshot below will tell you the story ...

Yeah my congrats go to Joel137 for playing this one to the end. Well done mate... many people would have resigned and not been bothered to see it through.

The only thing worse than seeing that screenshot is seeing that screenshot and knowing it's your turn in the barrel next!

I feel sick...

You'll probably do better than me, there were a couple of crucial really silly things I did early on; and Fantassin being merciless, took advantage of them.

I'm not saying you'll win, but . . .

Gratz Fantassin, so it is Steve and Fantassin in the final then? I'll get files flowing when I get home.

Just tidying up some loose Tournament ends..

Fantassin has withdrawn from this Tournament - and therefore I would like to declare Stevel40831 winner of the Battles in Italy Testers Husky Tournament.

Thanks to all of those who particulated in the Tournament.

Congrats.

Congrats to Tempest for the TAO4 tournament as well. That one is locked so I thought I'd say it here.
