Crashes

Its got something to do with units near the edge of the map. It can be fixed but won't be unless the sen designer knows how.
SSG "the game designers" won't fix it because there's no money in it. Most of the better sen designers wont fix it becuz it ain't their baby or they have been brought into the SSG fold and are moving along with the flow and want you to buy their newest vision.
You've got 2 choices.. Play both sides or play by Email.

I'm currently playing Kharkov against the AI and have edited the map so that there are no forts on the map edges and Popov's guys (which are somehow not scripted) don't spawn on the map edge. Thus far, it works.

I never had CTD problems with Rommel: Master of Battle.

I've never had it RMOB crash either. Hmmm thats one for the boys at SSG.
Abwehr if you got Karkov to run with the AI.. Hook us up..I'd like to give it a shot.

The last version I worked on, from 2009 or 2010, still crashed in games vs the AI from time to time, but at that point I had less knowledge of the editor than I do now so I could take a look at the scenario again.

The balance of the scenario was also difficult to correct and I wasn't entirely happy with the results of my last playtest (against Noakesy, years ago).

The scenario is still in need of a serious overhaul in order to be balanced/playable for its entire length, in my opinion.

I believe someone might be working on a new version, though.

I may commit to redesigning the scenario myself in the future, but no promises on when I'll start working on it/when it will be completed.

Really hope someone soon sorts it out as IMHO it is the best of all the DB Series.

Sorry for the late response, didn't see it until today.

Normally, the crashes are caused by units at the edge of the map or units with arrival scheduled that clutter the edge of the map. The original version might crash, but the chance is much smaller than when letting the AI play as the Axis or Soviets.
