The "Island Campaign"

Postby Robjess » Sat Feb 04, 2006 10:19 am

What a new scenario?! You betcha!

Designed by JSS - here are some of his notes:

"A little bit different battle here… no historical countries at war.

Republic of Blueland (AXIS Side) can’t seem to get along with its neighbor (United Islands of Redland… Allied Side). Axis Intelligence determined Redland was preparing to grab the strategic offshore oil fields controlled by the neutral group of islands separating the two powers… so Blueland launches a preemptive strike!

Neutral Islands trusts neither and simply wishes to keep its independence (fights against both sides). Each side gets 50% of the Neutral Islands and equal forces to fight off the other player’s advances. Neutral Islands forces are not intended to fight one another (this can only happen if a blown bridge is repaired." JSS

The scenario is available now for download from the SSG/Run5 Scenario Download Page.

Tournament anyone?

Joe,

You're looking at a cached page... refresh or reload should correct this... otherwise I think you have to adjust your cache settings.

You can also use the link above in this thread to reach the download page.

CTRL-F5 will guarantee a refresh in Internet Explorer (not sure about other browsers). F5 alone doesn't guarantee a full refresh ignoring the cache...

Thanks for the scenario JSS - its nice to see a red vs blue game instead of traditional warring forces.

Well done.

A Bill Gates story

Postby Joe » Mon Feb 06, 2006 9:52 pm

As for my home PC, On Sunday, I followed exactly the instructions above and could not find the file under "Scenarios". I hit F5 and Ctrl F5 and still no luck.

On Monday as for my office PC, I hit F5 and the file is exactly where it should have been.

On Monday night, as for the home PC, I went straight to the Scenarios menu and lo and behold the file was available!

Thank you to Saint Bill Gates!

And to Saint Intel!
