Why I see this division appears in Churchill?

Both 135th Armored Div & 183d Para Div were in the process of becoming combat ready. They simply hadn't been put into the combat line. Not too surprisingly they did fight the Germans following the Italian Armistice with the West.

The 132 Ariete Div you see listed on the map is actually the 135th. The 132d was destroyed in N. Afrika.

"A resurrected Ariete was organized in April 1943 and designated as the 135th Ariete Armored Cavalry Division."
Yes, I will correct it.

"A third parachutist division (183rd CICLONE) had just started forming before the Sept 8th, 1943 Armistice."
I didn't find any information about this divsion.
Can you tell me your data's source?
The war is not about who is right.
It is about who is left.

West Coast invasion

Postby digg2r » Mon Jan 30, 2006 5:41 pm

g'day,

I am unable to send any transports up the West Coast of Italy. No matter where the transport start from the sea lane ends at Palermo. Even at turn 78 I am still unable to send any transports up the West Coast, a few ships but no transports.

Is there some little trick that I have missed?

Thanks.

You have to get the US in sealane 2 or the CW in sealane 4 to do so (CW can only do this if Messina & Reggio areas are in Allied control).

Check out the OTR sealane resource for more specific info:

v1.01 update

Postby JSS » Fri Feb 03, 2006 9:13 pm

Update files to v1.01 of Churchill.

Here are the key changes:

1. Put in fix to Axis Sicily supply points (seems trace supply via sealane feature is not implemented).

2. 50, 51 ID recon units will arrive properly for 8th Army.

3. More German units can use rail movement.

4. 2d Pz Gd Reg of HG Pz Div is much weaker to start (two steps in timed replacement mode...).

I am trying to move my US units into the sea lane at hex 55,133 but I am having no luck. So far I can only move units that are not connected to any other units IE arty or Rangers. What am I doing wrong here? I am on turn 41 so far and not have any luck. Is there an order to moving the US forces? Thanks.

Christian,

The load up hex is 55, 131 (I believe this is the hex you're refering to).

-- If you are playing Churchill then all US units should load up in that hex.

-- If you are playing OTR then US divisions that invaded Normandy cannot load up to invade mainland Italy (1 ID, 2 AD, 9 ID IIRC).

Sorry, I was Talking about Churchill. I meant hex 131 not 133. Don't know why I typed that it. Anyways I am on Turn 41 and I still can't load the units IE the Big Red One. Do these units upload later on? Thanks.

Just checked the database. 2 AD, 1 ID, & 9 ID will not load (you can see this by right clicking the unit). :(

Will put together a v1.02 update. Every US unit (except Seventh Army supply) will be available to invade mainland. Also will tweak down (a little) the US VPs.

Churchill v1.02

Postby JSS » Mon Mar 06, 2006 7:06 am

Here's the v1.02 update.

- all US units (except Seventh Army Supply) can invade mainland.

- VPs tweaked so that Axis gain more points early on & Allies must keep stready pace to win.

- US departure ports near Palermo marked as such in town name.

I read the text notes and the notes say it's a 10 meg file and an EXE program. But when I unzip the file it's only seperated file that I have to move myself. Am I looking at the origional design notes?? Thanks.

You're reading the part from the initial release. Only the scn files get updated (there would be a special note if one of the xcrs was updated).
