Temple? No, Sesame Street.

You're in but please send me the standard email so I have your info for your opponent. That makes 16. Keep 'em coming and maybe we can get to 24.

You're #17 Joss. If we have to stop at 16 players to have even brackets then you're the first alternate. Hopefully we'll get more players signing up so everyone can play.

OK, we're up to 18 now with Apocalypse added. Not sure how I'll work it out for everyone to play with that number but we'll see. Still time for more people to sign up.

I want to participate, but cannot start playing until the end of July, due to vacation and so on... is this doable with the schedule for this tourney... hate to miss a medal. :)

I think there should be some allowances for vacation anyway at the start of this tournament, most of us will be away some time (or most of us on the northern half of the planet anyway) during the coming months.

I planned to be away the first two weeks of july myself (though that might have changed already, just have been contacted for somework).

I thought Manny was the medal whore!?

The plan is to start July 8th since that would be the historical first day of the sceanrio. You'd only be a couple of weeks behind so I don't see a real problem. You can just notify your first tround opponent. This is a long scenario and games will have interruptions as Bertram pointed out.

So send me your info and you'll be on the list.

I am indeed !

In fact, I was thinking we should change the rules for the "hot streak" medal to allow you to claim them even if you don't play on the ladder

If we don't get a lot of participants or an amount that doesn't make straight ladder or even round-robin play feasible I would suggest that we each play two games in round one, one as Axis and one as Allies vs different opponents. So we just need an even # of players.

Total score would determine the people who move on to the next round. But it would be a big cut--if we have only 20 players just the top 4 would advance to the semi-finals instead of 8 as you might expect simply to speed things up.

If we're not worried about getting this tourny done in a timely manner, then disregard the suggestions!

pterrok, and everyone else who has signed up so far

All suggestions are welcome at this point and nothing has been decided.

We won't get to 32 players so something other than a straight elimination will be done. This is a fairly long scenario and turns usually take a while to complete so I'm reluctant to ask people to play more than one game at a time as most people have other games going already. Some kind of point system will probably need to be used.

I thought of the following: The top 4 German and top 4 Soviet point winners would advance from the first round. We would get to 8 players and then have a straight elimination from there. That assumes there are at least 4 of each :) but it also means a lot of "winners" wouldn't advance. Of course we could just take the top 8 or even 16 point winners from round 1 regardless of which side they're playing and then do a straight elimination from there.

Whatever we do I will keep it simple!
