Gents,

the cat is out of the bag. New upcoming SSG game.

East front is one of my favourits. This is a game I will play much.

Head over to the MATRIX site and get full details!

Sounds interesting, and of course (funds permitting) I'll buy it as I'll buy any SSG WWII game, no hint to release dates or other stuff like numbers of scenarios and so on.

Presumably Leo is credited on the roll of honour (at least for his map, as this appears to be the 1942 battle rather than the other three - was there 3 or 4 Battles of Kharkov?)

Not to be a wet blanket, but...

is this yet ANOTHER game in this long list of games that is not going to include the previous games scenarios, not going to be compatible with them, and hence not actually a successor to them, but just another way to fragment the player base?

Please. Please. PLEASE!

Tell me this is not so!

The game is all but complete but at present we are undertaking EXTREME AI testing to ensure all is well and the game is balanced properly.

I would expect it will not be released until it is perfect.

Cheers

PS: Regarding the splitting the player base comments - This will be the engine I will be working with from now on. I expect Ian will be the same as he is also a tester. Anyone else building scenarios in Battlefront will find they will port over quite easily with a bit of effort, so I think this engine will be the new standard, as Italy was in the older series prior to this.

Sounds like good news to me. I think its time SSG settles on an engine and focus and battle packs. Whether they do that or not, who knows but I know I would pay for more SSG developed battles to go with the new K:DonD engine.

keep up the good work
