D-DAY! The first waves of brave allied soldiers hit the beaches of Normandy. Everywhere the beach landings went smoothly with few casualties, particularly in the US sector with no losses taken at Utah and minimal at Omaha.

The US 82 and 101 Airborne droppped along a Ste-Mere-L'eglise - Urville axis. They were unable to reach either Carentan or Valognes so pushed west towards St-Sauveur overunning a fusilier batalion trying to stop them.

In the British sector, the Red Devils make a very good drop around Ranville. The three British Regiments secured the Pegasus brige, Troarn and Colombelles while the 1 Canadian Parachute, with its path cleared by British Battleships bombardments, was able to capture the northern suburbs of Caen. If it can hold them for the next day, the enemy may have some difficulties to hold the city for long ...

:? well... I'm not in the middle of Caen, just in the suburbs

Which hex of northern suburbs have you captured? The one to the west or east of the Orne?

West one, by clearing the SP. 1 (C) Parachute landed west of the Orne between Benouville and Colombelles.

I'm good but not to the point to take an urban hex occupied by a PzGr rgt on the first turn.

I presume you rolled a '6' then to shift the 21Pz unit?

 Please re-read my post. I cleared the SP WEST (left) of the Orne and just enter the hex. I didn't attack the 21Pz for I had no chance to dislodge it. I'm pretty sure that, even if ideally airdropped, it is not possible for the Red Devils to achieve sufficient odds to do it.

When I draw Allied only. I need some more turns when playing Axis

Well, it must have been some kind of prediction as this game is now over after only 3 Allied turns. Unfortunately, Vampire had to resign for personal reason.

Congratulations Fantassin.

Though I resigned for other reasons than the game we were playing, I have no doubt about Fantassin being the true champion of this tournament. He takes the initiative, dictates the flow of the battle and is good at it!

Greetz, Vampire.

Thanks Vampire. If you agree, we could show the situation at the end of Allied turn 3.

PS: if you want me to do it, you'll have to send me back your turn as is as I forgot to take a screenshot at the end of my 3rd turn.

Sort of. I need to take a break from pure wargames. Some interesting games (from my POV) have been released for a year or two and I want to explore them.

Do colleges recruit for table tennis? I am wondering if colleges in America recruit for table tennis and whether or not this would help my admittance.
