This will make for some interesting mistakes and situations in the tournament considering the sheer number of new variables introduced by a new map and new game engine. Count me in

Overlord Tournament List is updated!!! /twinkle ;)

Edit; corrected some grammar and spelling, really sad that so much can go wrong with four words (yes!, new version is a 5 words version, previous was 4).

Right this is important - please ensure you read this message if you intend to play in the Overlord Tournament.

Battles in Normandy introduced a function called "Profiles". Profiles allow you to create and share your PBEM info (email address etc) with other players so that you no longer need to remember email addresses. All you do is save any profiles that you have been sent by your buddies into a profiles folder and they are available for selection when you set up PBEM games.

Further to this Bin also introduces a new Tournament Mode which allows Tournament Masters to setup the PBEM games and send them out to the respective players. For this to happen though all Tournament players need to send the Tournament Master their PBEM Profile.

To that end, when you purchase BiN, you will have to set up a profile for yourself and then email it to Twinkle. It is the emailing of your profile to Twinkle (the Overlord Tournament Master) that will cement your spot in this Tournament.

I have typed up some instructions on how to create and share PBEM Profiles, you can read it here:

http://www.ssg.com.au/Run5/articles/Pro ... ofiles.htm

It is also available under the Articles section of the SSG website.

did the talked about "better" first turn security carry over to non tourny games? or can players still drop a bad turn one and start over, something I hated about last build? I think what I remember reading was the players exchanged turn pregame and then the game started in secure mode?

SSG do listen to and read these forums. So no it will no longer be possible to keep restarting your turn 1 until you get a good result.

In Tournament Mode, the Tournament Master will actually set the game up and send it out to players.. secure will apply from that point on.. so the person going first will have security applied to their first turn.. no restarting allowed!

Apart from this though, the standard PBEM routines have been changed for secure games. In BiN, the person who sets the game up actually ends up playing the side that goes second. So for example, I set a game up, and send it to you (with security enabled).. you then have your first turn and then send it back to me and I have my first turn.

So, yes, Bin addresses these issues quite nicely :)

That is a good thing,re the secure game mode

So what is the plan for a long trip to England? Hicking fishing, plays, tours of castles? Maybe you could see Normandy and post a cool pic or two
Have fun

There are actually people that replay turn 1 until they get a satisfactory result? Gawd, lifes too short.
History is an argument without end

Gentlemen, read Robjess post above regarding sending me your user profile... this is a most important thing... BTW: make sure that your profile name is same as your run5 user name, i.e. don’t make life difficult for me, if not I send it back and ask for a new one!

Fantassin, Drew3077, MDC have joined up so we are now 58 tourney players. 6 more and we reach the magic number of 64, if not... anyone who has a good suggestion for solving how to set up the tourney ladder?

Regards
/twinkle ;)
