Guess this site attracts its share... a few of us knows how to check movement costs without moving or calculating (using the GUI), but hey that's another matter...

... I will try to compile a player list (based on interest reported in this thread at work tomorrow) unless someone else does it before me...

We will anyway wait until the patch with this tourney.

Regards to all BiN/KP junkies from one...

Count me in IF CA is on.

There's not enough hours in the day for me to try to play my turns without CA.
Regards,

Joss

Wow, really? Why? I can't imagine playing without it. I've got to believe your game would improve considerably. no matter how good you are.

Just got back to checking some of my posts and saw this.

Well, I used to use it often when I first started playing. I found the CA wanted to pull resource ... any resource ... from all parts of the battle field with no consideration of divisional integrity (after the attack), or having adequate OPs to get out after an attack. I now use it sparingly just to see where there may be a weak spot in my opponents line then I turn it off and follow the plan I already had before turning on CA. If CA shows me something real weak in the enemy lines I'll exploit it, but typically I've already seen it.

I like to stay organized keeping units within their div integ radius. I even tend to keep my Army's together. Its just a control thing with me. I plan my strategy, occassionally check the CA for weaknesses, then move my units to attack, and attack (or defend whatever the case may be). Typically, I'll go through each enemy hex and check their status after my opponents move anyway so the CA usually only shows me things I already know.

That's just the way I play .. and obviously, if you look at my record, I don't win a lot. I play to win but within the parameters I feel good about. If I don't win, I learn from my losses. So? .. its a game for enjoyment and I like it, win or lose.

... sometimes, I'll even do stupid stuff like try and extract endangered units (I can't stand to leave my guys behind to be butchered) or extend myself too much to destroy an enemy unit ... the CA doesn't help me be more stupid in these regards. HEHE ... I'm good enough at being stupid all on my own.

So, If you're interested in shooting holes in me ... lock and load. :) I have room for another one.

Treale, it hurts more than you can know. The only thing for it is to recreate the Great Bug Out once again, and maybe get the chance to take my anguish out on a GWB supporter.

MY question is this: the liberals here in the U.S say they are moving either to France or Canada to get away from GWB.

Where does a liberal from England move to? :)

Sorry to be a pain.. but lets keep off topic discussion to the off topic forum.. Twinkle is using this thread to try and gauge how many parties are interested in taking part in the Tournament. (yes I know I didnt take my happy pills today..)

I'm in as long as I'm not matched up against Pustov again. Just kidding Pustov. The last tournament I played against him and it wasn't pretty. Fair warning. But of course 'all is fair in love and bin'.
