OTP --- A plea ;-((

Postby Noakesy » Sun Jun 21, 2009 8:45 pm

Hi SSG folk, is it possible to put the latest OTP on the scenario download page? I know it's the 10th May 2008 where there are two options. My opponent and I have got ourselves in such a twist that I've managed to download OTP several times trying to make sure we have the same one, and ended up scuppering/corrupting BiN completely, which means I'll need to reload it. I'd be eternally grateful if this could be sorted out so that people can be 100% sure they are playing the same version. Cheers :D

Grrrrrrr this is driving me up the wall. I've played OTP before, but obviously I'm not doing this right, and we can't be 100% sure that both my opponent and I have the same version. I've downloaded the files to desktop, then I extract them to Normandy and create a new folder in scenarios called OTP or similar. Is that right or does the folder title have to be exactly the same as my opponent, or am I doing this wrong altogether? :(

What I do

Usually I download the user made sen from the page.. This should make a new folder under BIN Senarios.
Then I download the patches to that sen folder.
I totally agree about upgrading all these patches to 1 site. Would even be willing to chip in and buy someone the newest game if they wld take the time to run it like someone gave a damn.

Nope, sadly not. This is one of those where there have been so many updates that can never be 100% sure I have the same file as my opponent, and if it doesn't work can't be 100% sure who's mucked up  :D
