Wed 04Feb 2004 | Kreta Version 3.00 Release

Brubaker has made some significant changes to his custom scenario - Kreta. The updated version can be downloaded from the Scenarios page.

We recommend that you all download this updated version. Due to the number of changes in this update you are encouraged to delete your existing version of the Kreta scenario and download the complete new Kreta version 3.00.

Note that when playing PBEM versions of custom scenarios it is vital that both players are using the same version of the scenario. You can check the version of any custom scenario via the Scenario briefing from the scenario selection screen, or via the Readme and version info files that accompany all Run5 custom scenarios.

Click below to read a summary of the changes in this release of Kreta. Once again we thank Brubaker for all of the hard work he has conducted on this scenario, and also for making it available to you all via Run5.

Note that due to the reduction of turns in this version of the scenario, the score modifier will also be reflected on the Run5 Combat Leagues Ladder.

3. CHANGES FROM v2.0 ***IMPORTANT***

Several items have been changed/updated in this version.

> The scenarios have been shortened from 36 turns to 28 turns which represents 7 days. This covers the most important aspect of the battle and keeps the game to a more playable length.

> Allied supply bursts and truck radius have been increased ever so slightly to reflect Commonwealth 'home ground' advantage.

> Minor changes to several units to boost defensive capability.

> All german units now enter the game correctly.

> Turn screens changed. They no longer reflect the version number of the scenario. This will allow any further enhancements to be made simply to the data (small file) as opposed to the larger entire zip file.

> Palatinas Allied supply hex moved one hex.
